What are his options? He is a PA resident, so no points, that much I know.

The problem is, he is flying back to Dubai for a few months on Sunday.

When I first got my license I got caught at 2x the speed limit and was told I should've been towed, thrown into jail, and for my license to be suspended indefinately.. Thank g-d our family friend has pull in my town :).

Thanks Kenny that was really helpful.

Omar: Call Frank DeSousa, Esq. @ 516-505-7715. Check out his website at www.ticketproblems.com. Tell him the referral came from Emil, Phil The Sticker Guy, Noah, and all the other guys who he's helped. I believe Frank's firm can represent your friend in absentia.

Thanks for the tidbit. I double checked with my friend and it was indeed in NY where he got the ticket (he needs to get a damn radar detector! lol :p)

No need for a radar detector when you know the right people in power BTW there are no real financial advantages for mentioning names to Frank anymore but he is the go to guy in this situation.

I'm currently in the same situation. I was paced supposedly doing 103 in a 55. I contacted Mr. DeSousa and he is representing me. He really knows his stuff, he already told me that the guy couldn't have paced me that fast since his speedometer is only calibrated to 90. I suggest your friend contact Mr. DeSousa and see what he says. Consultations are free.

Also, for a speed that high I believe he must appear in court, lawyer or not. I know in my case I have to appear...

I wish your friend lots of luck, it's a ****ty situation to be in...

You can try Barry Jacobson. He got me "out" of a 61 in a 35 in upstate NY. I did not have to go myself. He took care of everything. A 6 points moving violation became a 2 points non-moving violation with no insurance increase.

Very painless, and worth every Dollar.

as lawyers know, they are the easiest thing to plea down. ( and even win on the evidence or "technicalities") ( also if you are in court fighting a ticket it keeps one speed trap off the roads for the rest of us for a day..)
