So the other day i get a customer in the store and he says to me "Hey when you bringing out the kit car?" Me. "Huh? What kit car" Him. The Fiero. Me. "No man. That's not a kit car" Laughing. Him. "I saw it last summer. They did a good job on it. Is it the older version or the newer Fiero?" Now i realize this guy is serious. Me. "It' a real Ferrari. I've had it 14 years. It's not a Fiero" Laughing again. Him. "The motor is in the back, that's how i know it's one of those kits. See ya later" And there he goes, out the front door AND he got the last word in too. The thing with that is, it's the first time someone said that to me. So i have been thinking about it all day. Unbelievable!! So what do i do with that customer next time he comes in?? Grab my dough roller and chase him out the door?? Anyone else get insulted like that before?
Don't worry about it. That guy knows exactly what your car really is. He's just trying to take you down a few notches and see if he could get you worked up. Sounds like it worked. Take a breather and relax.
Why worry about the arguments of an ignorant person? It's like the old saying about chasing a pig (or whatever it is)..... you just get dirty and the pig enjoys it.
Hello Chris - Your friends know who you are - This guy, whoever he is is not a friend - As they say in Italian - fuggedaboudit.
Dont worry about it man. Those people are everywhere. I had a Ferrari Hat on the other day when I went to buy a digital camera. The sales guy asked me if I had an "Onzo". I said no, but dont you mean "Enzo"? He said no, its an ONZO and If I really knew about ferraris Id know that.... Was no use arguing with him, so I asked his "buddy" to write up the camera.
He's obviously ignorant of Ferrari design, so he's probably not being rude. If he bothers to look it up in the mean time, he'll probably feel stupid. If you educate him, he'll feel stupid. So, I'm with the group on this one. Let him go on thinking it's a Fiero.
After bieng in business for 35 years I have come to realize that CUSTOMER and SH!THEAD have the same number of letters. NOT A COINCIDENCE Life is too short not to own a Ferrari. Now, take on the day.
Been to a supermarket this year? People displaying their own ignorance don't bother me as much as stores that presume the customers' ignorance.
LOL!....man, that's funny.....But what should Chris do if he adopts the motto "the Customer's always right"?? Chris, just humor the fool. Take his money for your products in your store for as long as possible.
Play along and tell him it is a kit car and tell him to keep it quiet.(as you raise your fore finger to your lip and let out a shhhhhhhhh)
You weren't insulted; he was envious. Enjoy your thoroughbred....That is you having the last word in all of these encounters!
I can't even imagine why someone would ask if its a kit car even if it was its still really rude. I mean I could understand if its some obvious beatup corvette with TR style strakes glued on but come one.
Don't forget he's the customer. As long as he continues to buy from you, who cares what he thinks about your car. You know that it's a Ferrari and as long as you enjoy it, it doesn't matter what anyone says.
LOL what a loser Don't worry about it mate, I stopped listening ages ago to people whinging that they would rather buy a house than a Ferrari, Alot of them are JEALOUS trust me Keep your chin up Image Unavailable, Please Login
