For first practice it's the same song, same verse just different setting.

McLarens (Wurz - 1:14.277) first and Toyota (Zonta - 1:14.893) second; Kimi third, Button fourth, Montoya fifth, Michael sixth and Rubens seventh. Doornbos is last - not so good for his first F1 practice but then you have to consider the sources. Usual again for Renault - come out, make an appearance and no lap times registered.

Fourty minutes time will tell what second practice has to offer.

    Hope it rains Sunday!

Notice that Ferrari's trap speed is 10Km slower than Kimi's trap speed also JPM is only 10th fasterst in sector 3

DC just tossed it into the kitty litter in the last turn.

Kimi is cranking 1:15:1's and Wurz 1:13 Looks like McLaren is definatly flying

The clouds building up behind the stands are looking quite ugly.

20 mins before the end of Practice 2 RB 11th and MS 12th it is not looking good for Ferrari :(

Good morning Rob - did you catch the comment about the Michelins being able to run a little bit in the rain vs the Bridgestones that have to be changed if it rains? At leat the rain held off but it could be a different story for the GP2 following this practice. We just need to remind ourselves that this is practice and only practice even though it appears to be a race. I think pratice doubles as a mind game. What did you do about the ticket you referenced on the 2006 thread?

I bet you if we all woke up at 5:30 am ET and did a rain dance and begged the German rain Gods to make it rain at Hockenheim for the entire day we may have some luck.

After todays sessions we are going to need all the rain in the world. I think it is the first time I have seen Michael actually post a slower best time in session 2 when compared to session 1.

One step forward, two steps backward!
