Visiting SE Texas from Washington State to do some Hog hunting in February. Relatives in the Victoria area but open to traveling anywhere. Any suggestions?

Clearly you've never owned property destroyed by these pests...

I enjoy a solitary spot and stock rather then the more military solution. Anyone in the area interested in letting 2-3 adults hunt their property would be most welcome. I have references from ranchers and property owners from several other states that have allowed us to hunt in the past.

Everyone have a Safe and Happy New Year.

I understand your point, but scavengers have to eat, too :)

The WSJ did a big story a while back on the wild hog problems we have in the states and the associated costs. If memory serves, they put the annual cost to farmers and ranchers at about $500 million. It is a very real problem. Several large landowners around Madisonville have given the Tactical Hog Control guys free access to their land so they can help control the skyrocketing population of these pests.

Being such a civic-minded individual, I'd like to offer up my services to anyone here who needs a little help with their wild pig problems. What a guy, right?

Great. Would love to visit locals while visiting. PM me with information if I can stop by and buy you a beverage. Any hog hunting tips would be appreciated.

Holy .... that hog looks about as big as some of the cattle on our ranch!!

We have a hog problem, too. They're in the bottom land and making a real mess.

If only we could get the army/airforce to airlift a dozen or two or so to Waziristan and the neighboring areas. :D

Mentioned it earlier in the thread but I'd be happy to help you out with that hog problem of yours. I could come out there with a buddy and bring our AR-15s...we might be able to make a little dent in your hog population ;)
