Being a wiley coyote of an old man I just figured out how to save the expense of writing cards and the time to write emails. So this is the way to do it. If I don't know you, the message is the same. If I do know you , the message is the same. Have a good one, everybody.

Here's a beautiful Christmas Card for 2010 that I found on the web.

Great idea for a creative picture. (Not such a great one for actual take-off though. :) )

Merry Christmas to all........ I think my favorite subsection of FChat and I'm not even a pilot or aviation affiliated.
Especially to you, you "wiley coyote of an old man." !

Novel approach to deicing that probably won’t work.

Wow! This took me by surprise! I hardly remember that but the wishes are the same. Ten years is a long time but pretty short to me now. Anyway, I'm still on the flight line but I guess sort of idling now. The "Switches' thing back then was an indication of shutting stuff off when it was parked on the line but I'm not at all "Switches Off' yet. Still painting, drawing, and trying to write a few things. I don't understand why the days are getting shorter, though. Seems like I just get started and it's bed time. Well, anyway, I look forward to more interplay with the best friends an old fart could ever have. Hope that all had a great Christmas and we'll continue next year.

If you're like me (and I'm not quite that old yet), it comes from sleeping late. If I don't have to get up at a certain hour, I'll just stay in bed. Today I woke up at 11:00.....

I think that you are correct. 0800 is my usual time up and 2300 is the fuzzy time to quit BUT there is a mid afternoon replenishment of energy that is unavoidable. The past ten years have seen many changes, none of which are in the direction of improvement and that is expected but I seem to be fooling a lot of people. While I was in the eye doctor's office a while back a guy next to me asked if I had cataracts and I told him no and that I had them fixed. He asked when I had done that and I thought for a bit and told him that I had them fixed when I was 90. A man across the room slammed his book down and said, " When you were WHAT!" Even when the joints in the main landing gear are going west and the eyes are having problems along with a hydraulic pump that has some output issues and chronic bronchitis, I'm still making some drawings, paintings, and making up stories. So, I don't pay attention to that other stuff. Walks require a cane but that gives one a distinguished look now and helps to beat off the outgoing ladies that we meet when my wife isn't with me. This forum and my friends therein are a great stimulant and a load of fun. It makes my day....and not with a 44 magnum. So, stay tuned and watch for the next issues of Air Classics. Hope that all of you had a nice Christmas.
