I haven't seen this posted but they fine tune a Holley fuel injection system that they dropped into a 308. Has anyone used this setup on the forum?

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the only Holley system on a 308, but there are a few EFI systems out there capable of doing the same thing. I believe the Mototechnique 388 (same people who did the David Lee Dino) uses Motec with individual throttle bodies. A more trick version of basically the same premise.

Agreed, I haven't seen the Holley system mentioned with a Ferrari prior to this video.

"Car Wizard" on YouTube put an aftermarket FI on a trashed '78 308. I can't remember what brand but it worked out well in the end.

I run Holley efi on an old 426 hemi in my 69 Charger. It can be adapted for use on pretty much any engine. Nice system IMO.

Way better idea than taking an injected Ferrari and putting carbs on it.

If I had a carbed 308 the carbs and distributors would be on Ebay in no time. Ancient tech when those cars were new.

This makes me want a 308 just to do this conversion.

The video up top mentions that it is Car Wizard's 308 they are installing the Holley system on. They say something about his system not really working well.

 That's sad to hear; put those two AFBs back on!!!

TBF, I'm sure the Holley is a good system...;)

That's why I said "in the end". The car had been pretty well hacked during several PO's ownership's, the mechanics had to go through layers of old poor "repairs" and missing components to get the car straightened out enough for much of anything to work. The car had been through several owners as a cheap "project vehicle". Lesson to be learned: a cheap project car will usually, in the end, cost more than a well sorted car.

Another example is the "Influenzo" series on YouTube channel "Number 27". The big difference between them and us is that they have a revenue stream from YouTube to pay for the expense of the repairs. The notoriety of the car and the huge access to the market that YouTube brings helps the car sell for a higher price than it would otherwise bring at the end of the project. There is a long list of YouTube channels that chronicle cheap auction cars brought back to life, exotic cars are no exception. another one is Samcrac.

The "Car Wizard" has several other videos on Ferrari's, mostly newer cars in the process of being flipped by fellow YouTuber "Hoovies Garage".

It is nice to see such an unloved car get the treatment it deserves and end up in good condition.
