Does anyone know if this dealer is still in business? If they are would you have contact info? I believe that they were a Ferrari dealer in 1991 located on Hollywood Boulevard? My car was originally purchased there acccording to the documents i have and i would like to take a long shot at tracking down a bill of sale as i have the original buyer's name and purchase date.
    Thanks!

out of business, although the records still exist. from my personal experience in trying to do the same thing, you don't need to waste your time. if you try and have success, you will be the first

No, they are not there anymore. In its place there is Hollywood Billiards! They have been gone for a while, I would say at least 10 years. Not sure if they moved somewhere else or just closed doors.

Sadly they closed their doors about 10 years ago or more. Some of the Service Techs like Steve worked at Blackhorse for a few years then moved on to a Ferrari Dealer in Woodland Hills, California. Others went to Tilack in Redondo Beach California. The name escapes me at this time, but lot of history there, lots of Hollywood Celebs bought their F cars from there, sad they went away, then Beverly Hills Ferrari opened its doors.

My car was also purchased from Hollywood Sports Cars, so I have checked out their former address at 5766 Hollywood Boulevard, Hollywood (right next to the 110 Freeway). As mentioned, no luck. However, I just got some 1975 issues of Ferrari, the Ferrari Owners Club magazine and Hollywood has an ad on the back of all of them. In addition to the Hollywood Boulevard address, they also list 1934 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills. Now Wilshire in Beverly Hills is in the 9000 range and the 1900's are in a rather rundown section of Downtown LA (McArthur Park) and not the logical place for a Ferrari Dealership. Can anybody shed some light on this?

I have an original Ferrari full-line brochure printed by Hollywood Sports Cars that covers the 365 GT 2+2, 365 GTB/4, and 365 GTC/4. There is a picture of a Ferrari 512 S race car on the cover of the brochure along with two of their addresses posted:

    Hollywood Sports Cars
    5766 Hollywood Boulevard
    Hollywood, Calif.
    (213)464-6166

    Newport Imports
    3100 West Coast Highway
    Newport Beach, California 92660

The brochure is also stamped with a 3rd address with I believe is the name of a salesman that worked there at the time:

    Please ask for:
    Dave Lewis C/O
    Hollywood Sports Cars
    5768 Hollywood Boulevard
    Hollywood, Calif. 90028

I think it would be really cool if someone could post some original photos of the dealership from the past :)

In JULY 1993 the dealer frachise became FERRARI of BEVERLY HILLS, and moved to wilshire in BEV HILLS. Steve Costello and I were the techs who moved along
with basically all the other core employees from HOLLYWOOD. Steve is now at FERRARI of ORANGE COUNTY, and I have been at TILLACK co. now FAST CARS in redondo beach since '97 .
Records can possibly be sourced through BEVERLY HILLS dealer, don't know for sure, but worth a try.

John - Did you know Tyler Gregory? He was the owner of BMW of Beverly Hills and I heard he had some sort of relationship with Hollywood Sports Cars. He was also the original owner of my GTE.

I started at the dealer in 1982. Hollywood sport cars had so much history before I got there, I heard the name but can't say when or what it regarded. Good luck with your search.

In 1984 he was killed riding his motorcycle somewhere north of 100 mph on the Angeles Crest Highway. That probably made the rounds of the car shops and clubs...
