My car (just purchased a 2001 360 F1) is finally in Dallas after the looongest 15 days ever! The driver was suppose to deliver around 5:00 pm tonight but was held up at his prior delivery, I asked him to bring it in the morning if possible so I could make a thorough inspection in the daylight. It was the hardest thing I have ever done... I want it in my garage now! Got lucky too, the weather is suppose to be awesome (70's) all week long!!!!!! Fingers crossed that no damage has occured during transportation... I will post pictures of her in her new home soon!

Congrats. I can't imagine the anticipation. I hope that everything is well when you get it tomorrow and you have a chance to get her out on the road soon!

So, question for you about this. I take it you bought the car from a person/dealer that is out of state and that you bought it sight unseen. As ive been searching for a 430, ive been wodering if this is commonplace. Do most of you guys just ask for lots of pics, get a PPI, and hope for the best when it actually arrives? And if there is a problem upon arrival, you've already paid for it, so theres no out, right?

Just curious how most of you guys who have bought used have dealt with that. Flying all over the country for test drives doesn't sound terribly practical.

Hey Thanks everybody, The driver agreed to bring it in the morning as I did not want to inspect the car in the dark. I will update in the AM.
Hey Nashty, Answer to your question... I first had the seller send several recent pics, then I ran the vin through my local Ferrari dealer, I also called his dealer and asked a few questions. After I was completely satisfied I sent the seller a $500 deposit to hold the car. I flew to New Jersey to inspect the car and personally deliver the cashiers check and pick up the title. I have bought other cars online ( a couple BMW's) and did not go check those out, but a purchase of this magnitude required a little more than trust...
Jarret... absolutely! Nothing I would like better than to admire/chat with fellow Ferrari owners.

Whenever some gets a car I get that same intense feeling seeing my car come off the truck and saying, "I can't believe THAT'S mine!!!"

I still get that feeling when I go to the garage, and when I get to it when it's parked on the street, and when I get to it when it's parked at a friends house, and...well you get the picture!!!!

Enjoy and post a lot of pics!

Weather is gorgeous in Dallas this weekend. He probably hasn't left the driver's seat since his car rolled out of the truck yesterday... :)
