Is it just me , or have most of us encountered this one time or another...

Bought flooring for my kitchen. Had some help to tile and do stuff as I am busy with work. Switched tile since I thought a different style would look better...half the kitchen finished, thought it looked fine, all finished and grouted...ummm....wasnt exactly what I thought...=(
I swear it looked better in the store! o well...I'm not spending another 1k to change it out right now.

Has anyone else made mistakes like this? also what is everyones pick Lowes or Home Depot, I need the convenience of both being close to home, and good hours..so whats the pick?

I'm a Lowes guy. they open (here) at 7 a.m. and close at 10. I think Lowes is much easier to navigate then H.D, and the store is laid out much better. H.D is very difficult to find stuff and their displays are terrible. IMO
