Somehow I became the defacto IT support for my parents and my in-laws, which doesn't really bother me too much. The issue I've got now is that my father-in-law just got an Apple computer for his home office. He'd like to be able to print from the Apple via a home network to the printer he's got connected to the PC.

Can someone help me out here or point me to a convenient step-by-step guid on-line?

I've never used anything Apple before (aside from iPod, iPhone) and cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this. I'm not positive I'm setting things up corectly from the PC side of things either.

    1) From the DOCK, click the Applications Folder (Has an "A" on it)
    2) Click the icon for System Preferences (looks like a gear or something)
    3) Click the icon for Print & Fax
    4) Click the "+" button at the bottom of the list of printers

The wizard will do the rest.

Within that wizard, I think it is sometimes easier to add them by I.P address instead of by Windows Workgroup name, but it all works just the same.

p.s. I have found that Brother HL-2140 printers are just great and cross-platform printing and fully supported. The supplies are cheap as chips, and they're workhorse printers.
