I am getting married in late October, anyone have any honeymoon recommendations for the Carribean? Looking for all inclusive, any experiences or advice would be great!

    Thanks in advance!

Friends of mine did a sailing "cruise" of the Caribbean for their honeymoon. They said it was amazing - more exciting than a large ship cruise, more varied than an all-inclusive. YMMV

We did our honeymoon in St Lucia - probably one of the most spectacular resorts in the world is Jade Mountain. Every room has no fourth wall - open to nature. Most rooms have their own infinity pool. We had 2 butlers with a pager - they will do everything for you from dry cleaning your clothes to drawing a bath for you in the evening. It really is like heaven - so much so that each room is called a sanctuary.
Only thing is that, I don't think it's all-inclusive. But it is an experience of a lifetime.

Wow, thanks for the fast responses. One note is we do not want to do a cruise, we plan on doing one next summer with a few other couples. We have also been to St John and the Bahamas together, so would like to expand a bit further.

Great snorkeling/diving would be a huge plus, we spend tons of time in the water. Being relatively fresh out of college, we typically go for budget oriented travel and really enjoying the "adventure" of it all (spent two weeks in Europe this past spring), but this is our honeymoon, and I am more looking for "turn key". I am debating talking to a travel agent since I have never done an all inclusive resort before, but I really enjoy researching this stuff myself.

Any thoughts on Sandals? Is it worth it or should I look elsewhere? Any preference on which one?

St Lucia is definitely on the list!

We had a good time at Sandals Royal Jamaican (Montego Bay), but that was 15 years ago. Having multiple Sandals resorts nearby is nice because you can use the restaurants at the other resorts as well. The Montego Bay area had three IIRC.

If you decide to stay at one, see if they will let you make reservations at the restaurants before even leaving. The best times and places are filled before you ever begin your stay.

    Ryan,
Are you set on the Caribbean? The reason I ask is that it seems you both love the outdoors and the water, do you or her like to fish? I would think outside of the box and look into something she really enjoys that would be totally unexpected for her. Florida has it all.

    Just an idea and congrats!

Anguila is a great place. Very quite with excellent and exclusive resorts. Not sure about the all inclusive option though.

The Sandals in Negril is fantastic. Several miles of beach, Ricks Cafe is right there. Can't say enough positive things about my stay there.

I had a good time in at the Riu Cancun; an all inclusive.

For my honeymoon, my wife wanted to go to Milan for a week. I ended up planning tours of the Maserati factory, the Ducati factory and museum, the Lamborghini factory and museum, and the Ferrari museum (Factory was closed that month). It was great. No my wife doesn't like cars at all, but found things she wanted to do, so it was fine.

My wife and I honeymooned in Jamaica at the Ocho Rios.
This was in 1992 but it looks about the same online.
We did not have a ton of money to spend back then and it turned out fantastic. There were a bunch of people from all over the world who got married saturday just like us and had great stories to tell. We loved it and would do the same again.
We climbed Dunn's river falls, sailed and played lawn chess every day. It was great.

    Congratulations and have fun.

    Correction:

The young couple had a great time in Costa Rica at the Riu, and then a great time at the Cazuela at Cozumel.
