I am looking for assistance in tracking down the history of my car, and I am hoping that someone in HK might be able to assist through Fchat. I have a 348TS in Rosso Corsa with black interior. It is an Australian Spec car which was actually delivered on 20th May 1993 by Italian Motors in HK to an expat (probably US) resident, who is I think still there. I have the details of the original purchaser, but nothing on subsequent ones until the penultimate owner in Queensland (the Ferrari dealers in Brisbane have however been most helpful in getting me the service history going back several years). It seems that it spent many years in HK before being imported to Australia and had done a documented 30,000 kilometers when I purchased it in September of last year. It had just had the major service and runs like a clock. It is however missing its original logbook (it has a factory issued ‘duplicato’ book), and I’d love to find out what happened to it. If you know or think you know anything about the car at all I’d be overjoyed to receive a PM from you

If U have the registration number, plate number, prior to export from HK, U may be able to check with the Transport Dept here for the owner info. Go on-line and ask, worth a try!

I have personally owned 3 348's and know of one (of mine) targa which probably went to OZ. I sold it to a UK resident in HK by the name of Adrian who resold it to some one for export. However it was Rosso Corsa with Tan interior. Its easy getting seats redone here as they are about USD 3000 for a complete interior to be redone including the prancing Horse insignia on the headrest.

Another friend who is an Aussie from QLD with a British passport took a testarossa and a 348 in Rosso Corsa and Black interior to OZ but I feel it landed in OZ closer to 2004 or so.

By Law Hk dealers are not supposed to reveal any details of a vehicle due to the privacy ordinance here. however the dealers do have a service of providing the Current owners (after proof of ownership is established) the service history for about AUD 200 . They blank off the owners details on all the invoices and simply pass on the details of the works done.

Hope this helps. If you need any aditional info , send me the Vin No of the car and I'll see if the local dealers can help. They are usually v friendly and willing to help here.

PS the reg No is no use as HK owners frequently change Rego's . The dealers identify service history by the Vin No and not the reg No.
