A lot of you know I make a game out of finding cheap airfare. Houston, Dallas, and Austin to Honolulu has been on sale all summer. I thought I’d let you guys know about a really good one I found.
Houston/Honolulu round trips for $250 on American Airlines. Most flights are in November. No weekend departures.
    Have a good trip.

Any specific sites or apps you prefer? I’m needing to make a couple trips next year. One domestic and one international.

You’ll have to connect somewhere, but that’s still really good. Southwest is also starting Hawaii service from a few places in California soon, but the FAA is taking their sweet time.

$250 round trip to Hawaii? And you’re worried about a connection?

There are 2 ways to fly; pay full price and you get to do what you want for 8 hours, or the second pay $250 (which was my bar tab at Flemings the other night) and you have to do what they want for 10 to 12 hours.

If an airline is stupid enough to fly me from Houston to Miami for $29 (which I do every other month), or Houston to Paris for $399 (which I do twice or more a year), I’ll play their game. It doesn’t matter to me considering I’m inconvenienced for a few hours since because of that I save enough dough that I stay in a suite in the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton.

The one time I had to connect, the Embraer 175 had a mx issue and the flight got delayed. Combine this with having to go from terminal C to A at EWR and having to wait for a shuttle, and I came out with a missed connection.

Just a personal preference of mine to fly nonstop if I can, but I know in some cases it’s not possible or it’s cheaper to do so.

First, sorry if my response to you was a little terse. I'm fighting the flu, feel like death, and am not in the greatest of moods. So sorry.

Yeah, as you know, on a lot of travel if you want the cheap deal you'll have to do a little more "work" like connecting, etc. I also would prefer nonstop but not at an $800 premium.
