Gone through several threads about this but a lot of the links for alternatives for the foam are dead. Don't really want to pay 100 bucks for strip of foam. Anyone have links to an alternate foam source I can cut on my own? Thanks

I have never been in a community that did not have a foam store. I'd have looked one up but you have not bothered to tell us where you are. $100 is a lot if you place zero value on your time.
Just finished this on my 308 and thought I’d add my info so the next person may find this helpful. The foam is inexpensive, available at any box store and fits with some slight trimming. The key as always is the prep to ensure proper contact. I had taken my rad out to address a few other small details.
