    Texas of course!
The driver side lever is so hard to pop the latch with that the entire lever popped out once already. Now that its screwed back it, it still doesn't want to give much and you literally pry the crap out of your finger to get it, any ideas?

Cleaned and WD40 the latch and lever, also tried it with the hood up, just seems like a lot of effort only pulls the lever and release cable a little bit? Not such a problem with the same style lever for the rear hatch.

What happens when you pull the backup release handles under each side of the dash? If it's still really hard, then the problem must be in the catches. If it's much easier, then the problem must be in the cables from the primary release lever to the catches.

Yeah what he said. Also if you take the latch out you may find that the sleeve that the wire in in may be not in the female part of the latch. Then you need more pressure to unlatch. make sure the plastic sleeve is firmly planted in it receptacle. This may also require a readjustment of the wire at the latch because now you have more slack. You can also put more slack in the line so that the latch travel is increased when the latch travel is increased you increase the mechanical leverage on the latch. There problem solved....I hope
