Hood Solenoid

For a month or so, if I get back from a long ride and everything is up to normal temperature the hood will not open after shutting the engine down. If I wait a few hours and things are cooler it pops right open. In all cases the relay in the switch can be heard doing its thing but the solenoid does not seem to pull in.

Once my replacement knee gets better I intend to clean contacts and such at the switch and solenoid. I am sure the issue is electrical not mechanical resistance when hot.

Anyone else have this problem? Resolve it? Is there a reasonable source for new solenoids? Source and part number if you have it.
