Well, I got the car back about a month ago, but have been traveling and ot had a lot of time to drive it. So, I took it down to the dealer for a compression and leakdown, and a thorough once over, including the seat pots.

The good news is that everything tested well. This confirms the driving, which really feels magnificent right now. The car feels vastly more powerful, and smooth -- well beyond how it drove when I got it, after the original botched service, and it's just a big bundle of muscle now. Shifting is more solid as well.

Interestingly, the Lodon QV headers and the new Magnaflow cats are producing a more muted exhaust note, which I honestly prefer. Opera as opposed to deathmetal.

As to the rest, the seat pots are evidently shot, but bleeding the system is willing to allow me to take the top down using the control. Who knows... maybe a few cycles got things back in line? No matter.

Lots of niggling things to deal with after driving season -- need a new cigarette lighter to fire up an obnoxious stogie or power my navigator, one fog lite needs replacing or something... some cosmetic touchups.

I have spent a freaking fortune on this machine, and have pretty much lost all respect for Ferrari's quality control and concern for their customers. There is just no way so much that is so simple to make robust should break on a car that has been as lightly used as this one. Maybe the new cars are better. I sure hope so. It seems there was a yawning gulf from 1974 to at least the 2000's -- my Dino is a dream.

My next car will be German, unless good Mas GT Cabrio's get down to the 80s/90s. uh-oh.
