Our QP now has around 7k miles and the brakes sound similar to an 18 - wheeler. Before it used to be a come and go thing but now it happens every time. I've tried hosing off the brakes (while cold) and it did go away but unfortunately only for that day and I don't plan on wasting time hosing down my brakes every time before I take it out. Can I get some suggestions? I'm sick of hearing that it's normal from the dealer.

Also I was taking a look at this product : http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002KKKGW/ref=asc_df_B0002KKKGW732044?smid=ADG953YR6NRBF&tag=msnshop-auto-mp-20&linkCode=asn

I know it seems kinda "cheap" and looks like it's only good for hondas, but would it be safe to use on the cross-drilled rotors?

I was getting a horrible squeel on my cayenne. I thought it was time for new pads but my dealer said they were fine. He actually told me the reason for the squeel was 'I wasn't using the brakes hard enough'. He told me that some high performance brakes form a coating on them when they aren't used hard and that causes squeaks. I don't know if he was bs-ing me but it seemed to work.

depending on the year of QP there are a number of options incuding a upgraded rear brake pad. This is generally caused by dry pad slides and pad vibration. This is a characteristic of high performance pads but can be minimized with proper maint.
