My Mondial t has had poor cold running for a while, I had a look today and found that one of the hoses from the valve (pictured) had come off completely where it's connected to another valve under the plenum chamber.
I spent about 3 hours removing the plenum chamber top, so I could gain enough access to refit it.
Now the cold start running is much improved but the idle speed has gone up from about 1,000 rpm to 1200rpm and the engine takes too long to die down the last 1,000rpm when you take your foot off the gas.
I'm told these valves were fitted as a modification to help prevent cold start stalling of the engine.
The dealer said just take them off.
How easy is it to turn the idle speed down on this car (Motronic 2.5) as I guess that's the next thing to try before I start removing these valves.

I don't think there is an adjustment for idle speed as it is all done by the ecu. Try resetting by switching off your battery switch over night and then without anything turned on and no touching the accelerator pedal turn the battery back on turn the start key and watch it work itself out for about 10 mins and you should see an improvement.
