I removed these oil vapor hoses from my 246 GTS #06830 (July 1973). Normally these hoses are original black and not see-through rubber. But I think they must be original for my GTS #06830. On the hose is printed "Guttasyn-OB". The hose are preformed. They look very much original. With the years they became yellow.
Does anybody know if these hoses changed to see-through rubber for late E-serie Dinos?

    Hi Matthias,
I'm have no information on the correctness of the clear hose, but I would suggest that they are not preformed. Fuel and oil vapors turn the plastic used in clear hoses rock hard over time. They were likely just cut from lengths of stock on hand.

A lot of 70's Motorcycles used these for fuel lines.

I think these may have started out as blue Cavis type lines and gasoline turns them green. I also have some green Cavis fuel line. Several vendors sell the blue Cavis line now. I know T Rutlands have giant spools of the stuff.

thank you for the pictures, the fuel hoses are original see-through rubber. I think your hoses are fuel vent hoses. I´m talking about the oil vapor hoses. They go from the two oil filler caps to the oil vapour condenser. Are see-through rubber too with your Dino.

I replaced them with new once cut from lengths of stock. The far right one, with almost 90 degree curve, always gets a kink and it`s impossible that the hose stays in form. So to me it looks very much preformed ?!
