Hospice Charity Concours this Oct in Avila Beach (San Luis Obispo, CA)

Attention Fchatters! We need your help. We need you and your cars at our first annual Avila Beach Concours 'd Elegance presented by the Hospice of San Luis Obispo, Oct, 26-28. This event will include some very unique features that you won't see anywhere else. This is the first event sponsored by the two West Coast FCA regions. News Flash! We now have a special Ferrari only Rally added to the event's Rally day (Sat, Oct 27th). It will be limited to the first 50 Ferraris to sign up. This will be a "spirited drive" Rally covering about 140+ miles. We will depart separately from our main group after the lunch stop in Downtown San Luis Obispo and meet back with our main group at Santa Margarita Ranch. If you have signed up for our event already and would like to join us please contact Chris Aho at Hospice of San Luis Obispo or send him an email [email protected]. Please tell him that you would like to switch to the Spirited Drive Rally on Saturday.
The main group will have a taste of this drive for a few shared road miles (at different time). Our Rally route is often regarded as "the drivers paradise" in California.

** Please note that if you don't like spirited driving and don't care for the twisties please do not sign up on this Ferrari only Rally. You will regret it every minute of it if you do!

 

Please don't forget to sign up for this event. We now added another hotel for the event and our deadline has been extended to Oct.1st (for the owners who are entering their cars in our FCA Concours). Please come join our party!!

Here is our latest news. The event is coming together very well and it looks to be a wonderful event.

Regards to the Spirited Rally:
Since there is a misconception of Spirited Rally from some of our event board members and due to a liability concerns, this rally will run as an independent event from the Avila Beach Concours Rally on Saturday. I have the Avila Beach Concours event chair's blessing to have it as a separate Rally on Saturday. Therefore, anyone who is interested in signing up for this Spirited Rally have to sign a separate waiver form.
The schedule for the Rally will stay the same. This rally will run concurrently with the main Concours Rally group up to the lunch stop (downtown San Luis Obispo). Then after the lunch we will separate from the main Concours rally group at HWY 41/Morro Bay. From there we are on the separate route until we will meet up with the main Concours Rally group and end the Rally at the Santa Margarita Ranch.

"Spirited Rally" will take place on the public roads with the posted speed limit signs. There will be no special escort or permission to speed from the law enforcements. Please be aware that the words "Spirited Rally" does not mean that this is a "High Speed" Rally. It means "Drivers rally" as we believe that Ferraris are meant to be driven. This Rally will make a few brief stops along the route to regroup the cars and will not stop at the wineries.

I had a lot of fun in New York!

Yes, we have room for the RVs, Car trailers, 18 Wheelers..... Bring them down!

We have more hotel rooms available now as well. If you are all signed up please email me with your car and contact info (cell, email address).
We are also having a pre-concour party on Thursday. We will send out the invitations via email blast. Therefore, we need your email addresses. Please forward them to [email protected]

 

We have close to 100 Ferraris registered as of today. We are expecting more as the event gets closer.
We only have about 25% from Northern California. I don't know why that is. You are going to miss one of the best event this fall!! We have over 80 Wineries and Restaurants signed up to do a tasting on Sunday. The Rallies on Saturday(Winery run and Non stop Ferrari only run) will be nothing but fun!
I am not making this up! Look at what the So Cal guys are saying about our Rally.

 

I can not believe this!! Our deadline is approaching!! Please sign up by the 15th.
There will be a breakfast for the Ride and Drive group at the Ferrari of Silicone valley on Friday morning.
Southern group will meet at the Auto Gallery in Calabassas.

We have some rooms reserved at the Carlton Hotel (4 star, $140/night) in Atascadero. This hotel is located only a few miles from our party.
