There will be 3 stops of the Hot Rod Power Tour 2016 in Texas next week. June 11 Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, Louisiana June 12 Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas June 13 Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas June 14 Traders Village, Grand Prairie, Texas June 15 Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma June 16 Kansas Pavilion in Wichita, Kansas June 17 Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kansas Each of those days, the cars arrive between 12pm and 7pm, and gather together. There are 2 of the Dallas f/chat group going on this 1,500 + mile ,3 racetrack tour. One in a ZR1 he just bought for the event, and the other riding from Dallas to KC in a 1966 Nova with a blown LS1 crate motor, and tilt fiberglass front end. Should be a wild ride for both groups, and safe travels to all. I hope to get out to Grand Prairie around 1pm, Tuesday, to hear them arrive. There may be as many as 2,000 cars doing the whole tour, and 6,500 cars coming and going to the whole event. Not Ferrari related, but figured you gear-heads might find this interesting.
You are 2 cars behind Jim. I am on my second Durango Citadel, as I passed the first one down to my son at Christmas. Kept the Explorer in the family, with the daughter in law buying it. No, I will be in the California. Want me to pick you up in Irving ?
Got out there around 2:15, and there was a ton of cars already there. If you like cars, there is something there for you. From basic muscle cars, to rat rods, to whatever your mind can imagine, it was there. Had not seen a basic Barracuda in a long time ! Lots of those moments. Missed the ZR1 and Nova teams, as they were arriving a little later. Here are too many pics.
