I just bought this F40 1:18 (its still in the mail) and was wondering if its the same or better quality then the Bburago? If I rember right, its the same casting as the Bburago...
I know its nothing special I just bought it to customize.

It's not nearly as nice as the Kyosho. But even though it is based off the old Bburago casting IMO it is a little better then that model....

It is and it isn't. Weired uh?
It is the old Bburago casting, but not exactly. Everything assembles the same way but for whatever reason none of the screw locations match. The HW model carries all the shortcomings that the Bburago models had, but it kinda makes up in some other areas.
The engine intake is still wrong (it is however correct for the first F40 shown to the press), the seats still belong in the 288 Evoluzione. Where it makes up it is that it has brakes (Bburago has nothing behind the wheels) and side windows. The side windows are actually one whole part with the interior panel of the door. The whole part is molded in clear plastic and then only the interior panel is painted. Why am I going into this?
Here is the deal. If you would like to keep it the way it is, the the HW model is actually the better choice. But if you are looking for a model to use as a base for a project (a donor) then the Bburago is the better choice.

Cool, Thanks for the info. I will go get a Bburago then and leave the HW's alone.
I hope I can find a cheap one for working on.

    Thanks again guys.
