    Do you guys have any recommendations for places to stay during Pebble Beach Concourse? I'm having a hard time finding any vacancies, thanks.

    At this late date you might have to check back for a cancellation or look for a hotel 15-20 miles down the road. Last year I called Amex and had them find a room for me. I got lucky and got a room in downtown Monterey. Good Luck.

    Edit: I did an Orbitz search and found a room in Monterey 8/17 - 8/20.

    If you are willing to go down to Carmel, we stayed at La Playa Hotel (www.laplayahotel.com) and had a very good experience. Very good value.

    Spendy but excellent are the Highlands Inn and the suites at the Tickle Pink Inn. Both are located in Carmel Highlands just south of Carmel a few miles. I have stayed in both and enjoyed my stay at both equally. Good luck.

    My neighbor just booked a room in Salinas. It's about 30 minutes from Carmel but probably the only rooms available. You really need to start the year before. I'm staying at my partner's place in Carmel. I'm so lucky, get the opportunity to enjoy my partner's home and don't have to pay the price of admission! :)

    I'm staying in Salinas.

    Anyone have info on how hard it will be to drive in to the events - traffic, etc?

    Also - I have 2 extra tickets I need to get rid of. My parents were supposed to meet me there -but my father was diaganosed with cancer - so he cannot attend. Please let me know if you still haven't purchased your tickets.

    I live in Costa Mesa - and can meet you anywhere - preferably in OC.
