Just saying...my SDL seems to be hibernating in these hotter temperatures. I'm wondering if the connections swell and rectify the problem temporarily until colder temperatures? Perhaps the moisture has dried up within the connections. JUST a theory. Experiencing the same?

No responses so I am guessing there is a possibility that my SDL issue might possibly be contact related. Since this SDL always seems to come and go...it gives me the impression that the contact comes and goes in correlation. I used contact cleaner on all of the connections a few months back but it didn't exactly seem to helpin the long run.
I can hear a flock of you now telling me that get the gold connector kit! Yeah I know...I know. Someday...someday.

I haven't investigated it as it occurs so rarely on mine, but the only couple times I've noticed a warning light of any kind was driving in rain. It was intermittent both times, leading me to think it was a moisture/seal/contact issue.

Through 62k miles on my recently sold 355, the only time I got a SDL was from a bad catalyst ECUs. I would swap them around to confirm that bad one, then order a new one and all fixed (happened a couple different times). I would be more inclined you have bad cat ECUs or thermoprobes.

If the slow down light comes on during a cold start the vescovini box is internally bad. It is a common problem with all models using it.
