Here is my take......... I'd like to know if I'm correct.

No one is going to buy a car because some hottie is on it. But, it will get more looks, IMO....and that might create a sale. I see this as an opportunity for the guy to meet some hot girls for "business" reasons. He might not sell a car but he's hanging with the talent, so not a total loss.

I agree. Plus with more hits just because of people looking at the women they can claim great web site hit numbers.

Personally, I wouldn't want to buy a car from someone who had a bimbo, er, model climbing all over the car. A ding or 'oopsie' dent there, a scratch here...I'v photographed women with cars before and it's hard finding a model who appreciates paint and sheet metal enough not to damage it one way or another.

That's actually DC Motors in Anaheim. Legit sales. Just a marketing tactic.....and a good one.

This sort of marketing may not hit a note with everyone. If you are the type that likes no frills marketing, I could relate to the doubts. I think it's great. As long as the girls dont damage the cars, it keep young aspiring models employed so they can add it to their portfolio, more guys look at them and hopefully the car will strike them as "the car" minus the girl. It sounds like a winner all the way around! :)

A friend knows the guy, Doug, that owns DCMotors. They sell a lot of cars. IMO the girlie thing seems cheesey. It may build an awareness but does it sell? Maybe awareness = sales?? Anyway, they're laugh'n all the way to the bank.

I'm sure it's legit sales tactic. I just want to know if the owner / manager like to be connected to these girls.

Years ago - in another life - a friend and I would cruise the nightclubs with faked out "Universal Models" business cards...it worked pretty damn well, too. We also made up this whole "Girls Gone Crazy" scheme, posing as a poor man's "Girls Gone Wild" scouting team. An hour at Kinko's with some biz card sheets and a color laser and there ya go. Yeah we were bored, but it worked like a charm and I still have the video to prove it.

I should have gotten involved with internet porn 10 years ago, but the thought never crossed my mind. Ho hum.

I think it is more of a " If you buy this car, this is what you will get" I think it gives the auora of women will flock to you if u drive this car. It is a good marketing ploy and if some dumb schmuck loser with cash to burn who hasnt gotten some poontang in a while, might just say **** its time to get laid and throw down...

Sounds "Beverly Hillbillyish" to me. Remember when Jethro bought an old house trailer to use as his mobile "Kitty Kat" club?

It sounds like Jethro wanted to get into the car business so he has Uncle Jed buy him a car lot and send over some actress bimbos from his movie studio to help Jethro get his career going.

Extra bonus points for remembering Jethro's "screen name" that he was going to use when he became a big movie star:

Clue: The actor helping Jethro into the business was Dash Riprock

DOUBLE extra bonus points for remembering Dash Riprock's real name in the context of the show:

I believe the concept was started by DC Motors in Anaheim, CA. It's the foreign car answer to the advertising by american parts companys.

Here's another they had of my CL500. I did not buy it from them nor was the girl included.

And, yes, the car runs just fine eventhough the girl was not part of the deal.

Check the site. There are quite a few like this

I think it's cool if they're just random pictures taken by the owner or for a magazine, but if I was seriously looking to purchase a car, I say it's cheesey of them to do that.

I love it. I love the girls. Love the pictures. Not trashy but sexy.

Doing something slightly naughty is a fabulous way to get publicity. Say what you want. Before they did this who heard of them?

I have done edgy magazine ads in my business and have ended up in the letters section and chat rooms while people fight over the contant. I just shut up.

One below with my wife caused a big snit from a female college professor.

I think it's a bit tacky and immature and definatley not original. Like a 13-15 year old boy going through puberty coming up with the idea to put almost naked girls on cars.

To sell a product on its merits, you have to have confidence in (a) the product, (b) your customers.

These days, marketing considers "consumer" to be a synonym for "sucker".
No? SUV: a $17K pickup with a $3K plastic body kit selling for $50K. QED

"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the consumer" -- marketing adage.

Too many slimers selling too much garbage to too many idiots.

    "Cogito ergo Sum"
    "Stupido ergo conSumer"
