Most may not care about this much, but I think it is a very bad reflection on Ferrari and how much they care about some of the junk with their name on it. I purchased for my 14 year old son a 1:18 Hotwheels Ferrari Scuderia model for his birthday because I could not find the Elite version available yet. It is by far the worst junk Hotwheels has made since they have had the Ferrari license. The paint is pretty nice and the shape is good because they had already made a pretty good non-elite version of the F430. This should have been pretty easy for them. It is ten steps backwards from the normal 430 they made a while ago and they should be ashamed. My son made a list of the differences compared to the Non-Elite 430.
Comparing the F430 costing $20 and the $30 F430 Scuderia
} parts and pieces of lesser quality or missing of item at all on F430 Scuderia compared to original f430
    - panel fit is worse
both front and back bonnets are plastic
    side doors are plastic
exhaust tips have no internal depth
    mirrors have no finish
headlights have no bulbs but just a poorly made plastic mold
emblem on front is nor indented or a sticker applied with water
side marker light is made for european car but car contains secondary seat made strictly for U.S market which makes it both inaccurate and it is not colored
no Pininfarina sign on side of car
when doors are opened to full paint is worn off at the bottom of the door
the Ferrari rampants are stick on and not water applied
doors have no windows like on Challenge Stradale
ferrari symbol on rear bonnet is a flat white decal
lug nut are baron of anything but a round cylinder
taillights have no inserts for reverse or brake which I should mention they already made up for the stock f430
    brake rotors are incorrect size
hand-brake is molded into transmission tunnel
door surrounds have no black coloring
air escapes next to rear window are incorrect color
F430 not written on plate above air-conditioning vents
    no headlining
no color on steering wheel or air vents (dark gray/ carbon fiber should be the correct color)
engine is a mold and has no depth
no detail for clamps in engine bay
Ferrari is not colored silver on plenums
inside of front air outlet on side of car have no cut in side to show depth
running lights on back have no color
ferrari horse on grill is decal instead of mold
    incorrect color for floorboards
    no LEDs on steering wheel
    horn is a sticker
    no gas and brake
    paddle shifters should be grey
. I know it's just a model but this is awful.

Having built scale models since I was a kid(still build one every few years) and having a very small collection of pre builts, I am aware of the fact that the bar is set so very high now with great product quality available almost everywhere. Why one of the greatest names in Automotive history continues to allow this junk escapes me! I'm waiting on the Mondial 8 in the Elite Series and I hope that it is half way decent. It has taken them about 25 years to bring this to market and they don't need to bomb.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Since HW introduced the Elite series, their "regular" models have been worse than 15 year old Bburagos which sell for $10
