I have become pretty adept, at putting the seat belt over my left shoulder quite quickly. I can usually spot them from about 100 meters. I even take care of this b4 I u-turn under the freeway. They actually are becoming more and more predictable (their hiding places). What a bunch of b.s. - Kids shoot windows out of the back, of some of our trucks (in addition to other issues), and the cops are sitting a few blocks away writing tickets for very minor violations. We are not going to talk about no front plate.

Be careful out there. They want your $$$$. They are everywhere. You need that 100 meter stare.

Ralph!!! Why in the hell would you not wear a seat belt? Especially since I've seen you drive past me at 180 in a red flash.

My best friend from college died summer after we graduated because he refused to wear a seat belt. As a kid there was someone in their town that got trapped in a burning car they think because of the seat belt. That is such a rare case, a seat belt will save your life 99% of the time vs. not wearing one.

    Allegedly, Rob... allegedly. :)

I got busted "allegedly" trying to sneak my seatbelt on. I couldn't get my left arm underneath the strap before he got off his motorcycle.. He asked me, "Is there a reason you were not wearing your seatbelt properly when I started to pull you over?" ...whoops.

My dad is 75. - He wears no belt. I suppose I thought of all those poor galz with the big jugs ? All the pain that they have to experience with the belts. It made an impression on me when I was 16.

I was T-boned a few years ago. I wore no belt. The cop said it was probably better that I did not wear a belt. I understand your opinion. It probably makes sense.

I would not normally go that fast. I am afraid of driving fast. I did not want to geaux fast. The problem was that Grady put all the fast cars in the back !!!!! He wanted to give the Dino's a head start !

Geaux??? Did you say Geaux? As in Geaux Tigers? As in Geaux LSU Tigers?

</Cajun translator on for the Europeans and those who think 80 degrees is hot>

Geaux is pronounced "Go" in Cajun/Coonass/Any part of Louisiana South of I10...aka, South Louisiana.

</Cajun translator on for the Europeans and those who think 80 degrees is hot OFF>

You have some cajun upbringin there Ralph?

Also, please wear you seatbelt Ralph. If you'd like me to do some rapid deceleration calculations for you and some mass balances to show the score of Ralph vs immobile objects external of his absolutely freaking grogeous car please let me know.

I do, however, think the whole clickit or ticket deal is misuse of the cop's time. The underpass thing does serve a nice way of reminding me the BMW needs an inspection. I am sure I would get a ticket in the old Mustang or Ferrari.
