I'd say its consistent in appearance with other fragments I found.

Carbon/Carbon fiber, further carbonized by intense heat.

Most of my frags of CF are body panels, I'll check and see if I can match up any I have to this one.

Did he include complete car photos?

I'll know more after lunch today.

"This auction is for part of a brake rotor from an Enzo Ferrari. The carbon fiber brake rotor was broken into pieces from an accident. Photos of the car, post wreck are included in the auction. Photos of the brake rotor piece are available on request. All sales are final."

    Aren't the rotors ceramic?

Damn Alan/Carbon, what the heck did I miss? There's a FRIED Enzo in Houston? I miss all the fun. I bet Alan was chasing it down in one of his go karts and the Enzo driver panicked...

He was practicing for the Art Car Parade on May 8, 2004.

Pre-running the route. At around 110 MPH I've heard.

I'm not an engineer yet (1 month to go), but judging from that fragment in the picture, it certainly isnt made of steel. I'd say thats part of a Carbon-Ceramic rotor.

NNO, please don't tell me your going to bulid a "parts car" with this being the start!

I went thru my stuff over the weekend, it's hard to vacuum that stuff out of your carpet!

Carbon, I've got two more pieces of brake rotor, buddy.
I'll make sure you get 'em.

Good pics, first I've seen ! Congrats on finding 'em.

My "Deep Throat" on the hood badge quit talkin'!
Last thing they said was "Everything has it's price." LOL!
    Then they disappeared!

that "wheel" looks like it could have been photoshopped in there. the other wheel (backside?) doesn't look quite right for an enzo.

I don't think so Mr. Doody.

Two left side wheels still one the car. Loose rime is right front I think, and I found scattered frags of what I guess is the left rear, shattered as it spun over curb.

I have a rim frag that is twisted, rolled under. Can you say "loss of pressure in 1/10th second"?

    I knew you could.

I gues he could have shattered the FRONT right, if he DROVE over the curb, but I pictured him loosing the rear end, based on site survey.

I'm the publisher of WreckedExotics.com and I can verify that it is indeed a Ferrari Enzo and that the photo is not photoshopped. I have high resolution versions of these photos.
