    If you need an alternator rebuild I recommend Ray's Auto Electric at 5823 Edgemoor (Houston 77081 - phone 713-661-8189). Chris does the rebuilds. They had my Nippaninso off my 348 done in 24 hours. ~$150 with tax for the rebuild. I hand carried the alternator to them.

    It is my understanding they are the shop Ferrari of Houston uses for alternator rebuilds.

    Close to work and my light comes on when the AC is on. Time for a rebuild....now I just have to take half the car apart to get to it!

    Sounds like a good idea. I got no warning. Light came on when headed back from the FoH get together. I made it to downtown then bailed for the exit. Parked it next to the 1st police officer I saw. USAA insurance towing coverage is a good thing :)

    Remember to inspect your tensioner bearing - mine was perfect fortunately. Go ahead and replace the belt regardless of how good it looks. Cheap insurance.
