I was actually going to say the same, but continued watching the video, and it has some type of transparent top over the glass, so it should be safe. I like how when the ball goes in a pocket, you can watch it go through, really cool!
My cousin is a partner in a commercial glass installation company and has taken a hammer to tempered glass without damage -- the pool table is tempered, no doubt. Most commercial storefronts are tempered and can take quite a bit of abuse before shattering.
Looks cool but probably hard to play on without practice. Ever try playing chess with a glass set, hard to get used to. Keeping the glass clean would be a b*tch as well.
I must say - I like some modern tables, but this one is utterly cool. No idea how it plays as compared to say Simonis 760/860 but it is utterly cool. . .
Definitely cool, but I wonder how the surface holds up over time? It's a softer clear layer of some sort--you can see a waviness from an angle--and I wonder if it starts to scuff or score? But that can probably be replaced.
