We tried this last year (With Henry's help) and we got rained out. Anyone up for a drive on 4/16 or 4/23? I was thinking that we could meet at the Hwy 4 exit north of Stockton and run through Jackson and Angles Camp, on to Sonora for lunch and enjoy the afternoon in Yosemite. The waterfalls will be raging at that time. Good op for pics and hanging out with fellow FChatters in the Spring!

    Who's game?

1st part of May would be a lot better. 4/23 is the Las Vegas trip, and most of us are going there. Why don't you come along for that drive, and we can do a Yosemite drive a few weeks later.

I'd be up for this if I could get a ride-along with a fellow Fchatter... The third week of the month is no good (that's my call week), but it's up to you guys of course!

I kept the video that Vincent took of us doing 110 through the tunnell to Glaicer Point! That was a great ride along with the $14 hamburger at the lodge!

The 4th weekend of the month is probably the best one for me. How about it guys, can we set that up now? If so, I'll put a little work into reservations, etc. Let's get a list going, and when we've got that, I'll PM everyone and get the relevant info, and my secretary can see if we can get reservations, etc.

The 4th weekend of April or May? If a one day drive, what reservations do you need? We could also start in Auburn and end up in Sonora (As the last drive was planned) with a member dinner at Melodie's in Sonora. Talk about good food! She will roll out the red carpet for us and we will have guarded parking at the Sonora Inn.

Has to be May, the Vegas run and your show in Vegas take care of April. I'd forgotten that we'd end up back in Sonora. We'll still need reservations in Sonora though.

i'd be game, but might i suggest we do it before school is out and the tourist's show up? yosemite gets mighty crowded after abt.mid may, i know cause i live 33 mi. from the entrance, and the traffic starts increasing as it warms. late mar. to mid may are most pleasant.

COOL! the 2nd Annual Yosemite trip

    LOL, I missed that one.

(I still have the vid of our first Yosemite, I have some footage of that Porsche trying to overtake Vincent as though it was out of a scene from the movie "Against All Odds".)

How does May 21st work for everyone for a HWY 49 run? We can start in Auburn through the American River Canyon around 11:00AM and end up in Sonora around 5:00PM for dinner at Melodie's. She'll do a grand dinner for us in her banquet room. If anyone wants to stay over that night, we could do a ride to Yosemite on Sunday.

Could be interested in this if dates were later. 4/16 too much sand and snow on roads for us Reno/Tahoe folks. 4/23 overlaps with Rampage event so many (myself included) cannot make that date. Spring weather very unpredictable in Yosemite, as is sounds you found out last time. I would vote for June timeframe.

I might be able to make it, would love to cruise Yosemite with a ferrari crew. Are you talking about a Sunday drive, like the 22nd? The next weekend is Memorial Day which wouldn't be much fun. Ususally, the weekend before major holidays is semi-quiet while everyone saves up.
