How about bad sci-fi movies?

    They hunted them for food?! Lol, I didn't get that at the time I watched the movie :D The crop circles are indee nice. How did they invade deserts or mountains? Guess you'll struggle a bit conquering the universe when you are limited to planets where grass etc grows...
    I also wondered why they attacked the farm house at all... I mean, there might be more obvious targets on Earth than a farm in the middle of nowhere...

    Perhaps it is a matter of expectations. IIRC the trailers for Gattaca looked great, and I went to the theater on opening night anticipating a great movie, but it wasn't even a good movie. I'm sorry, but any movie that uses urinalysis as a major plot development tool (not to mention during the climax scene before Ethan hawke boards the rocketship), the movie as a rule sucks in my opinion.

    Someone else mentioned Starship Troopers as a bad movie, and it is perhaps the other way for me. I had no expectations, but found it entertaining. It didn't take itself seriously at all, unlike Gattaca.

    To each his own of course.
