Has anyone heard os catastrophic engine failures on the F430 model range? It's a major concern to consider this if I'm to keep my car and not sell it.
My car is perfect and super reliable but I want to know what and if you guys have ever heard of any nightmares.

I have heard of some having "ring" issues, but I havent read about or heard about any catastrophic engine failures that I can remember. :):)

Well, maybe one 430 engine spat a rod out of bed. But I could be thinking of a 360 engine. :D:D

Either way, they are VERY reliable engines and I wouldnt stress too much about it mate. :):)

Keep your car and enjoy. :):)

One of the reasons I drove a lot under warranty. Now at 17K I figure any factory caused issues would have shown up by now. I haven't heard of any issues like I did about the valve guides in 355s after a few years or the 360 variators. I think even the exotic rentals haven't had any issues. Anyway, mine is 2 years out of warranty and I don't give it a second thought.
