How is 599 seat comfort for longer distance (500 miles in one day) driving? Do the seats turn the trip into an uncomfortable grind?

Anyone with experience in longer daily 599 drives? Interested in how seat comfort compares to luxury brand seats (i.e. BMW, Lexus, Mercedes) for longer distance drives. After some distance, do you wish you chose to drive the luxury car instead of the 599 for these longer drives?

I have an F430 and do not like to be in the seat for more than couple hundred miles in a day. I suppose my view is skewed by driving longer distances in luxury car seats, but it is what it is. Thinking about a 599, but for me it has to also work on comfort side for longer drives.

    Thanks,

    Mike

The 599's seats are in one word PERFECT (IMO). Best car seats I have ever experienced. Not too hard, not too soft and very supportive. They really keep you in place (which is very important IMO).

Went from Monaco to Stuttgart and back in a weekend (1500 miles) and still felt good at the end. Did several 500+ miles trips and the car has always been nothing short of spectacular.

Opinions may vary from person to person, but from my experience, I'd rather take the 599 on a 1000+ mile trip than our Bentley Conti GT. The Bentley might be more comfortable objectively (softer, quieter, 4WD etc. etc.). I love the big B...but after 2 hours in the Bentley I get bored. The 599 might not be "Bentley-like-comfy," but it just makes you feel like a kid with a new toy from the moment you start the engine until you reach your destination. When you do arrive, you just wish the trip was longer. I just really puts a smile on your face :)

As a result, the 599 keeps you entertained though the whole journey and thus you never get as tired as you would in the Bentley. This might just be my personal way of reacting to the car. It obviously might be different for you.

I don't, however, think that the 599's seats should be an issue for you. Have you ever sat in a 599?

Completely agree with Carlo on this one. The car is a joy to drive long distances and on the highway (motorway) it is really great. The seats are great and the driving position is outstanding. I drove from Chicago, spent the night in Ohio (6 hour drive) and next morning to Virginia (7 hour drive). Not a bit of a problem. Seats are amazing, point and shoot power for traffic and it's a nice show for kids in the back seats of other family cars on the road :)

I totally agree with the comments above. Comfortable for every day driving, cruisin' and perfect support while the car is driven hard. Personally I like it being strapped in in the 4 point safety belts I have on mine :)

Agreed with everyone here. For a few of my friends, it's a little stiff but still comfortable and once strapped in, the seat fits well, it's supportive and doesn't cause you to tire. As long as you're not oversized, the bolsters won't be overbearing. The seats have the best of both a bucket styled encapsulation and just enough comfort to keep you awake without lulling you to sleep.
In comparison to the F430 Daytona seats, the 430 IMHO is a rougher car, therefore translated through the seats which can cause you to tire on a long trip. Drove the 430 once from OC to SF and as exciting as the drive was, the overall experience (sound of the car, ride comfort, noise levels etc.) was tiring. Summary: overall experience in the F430 is visceral and can be higher strung, the 599 is a true GT car with a harmonious blend of performance, enough comfort without being sissy, and driving enthusiasm. My 2 cents.
