I had good luck with them on my Miata. I don't think they have been made for a while though so they may have been sitting a while. I don't know if that affects anything with them.

Pretty good all around, predictable at the limits. I got 20k miles out of one set. 10-12k miles out of another but I had more fun with that set.

They were the favorite in the Miata circles b/c they were one of the only tires in 195/55/14 until the Toyo T1 came out.

Try and get them mounted at a place that sells a lot of Dunlops. If the high point of the wheel can't be found then mount the red dot at the valve stem or they will vibrate. I don't know if it is a Dunlop JLB issue or what but I always had problems with vibrations until "Dunlop Dave" let us in on the Red Dot thing.

Thanks Ike, would you have an idea of when they were last made?

I ran these on on several cars (particularly my ur-quattro) and liked them a WHOLE lot... both on the street and on the track.

Much better than the later SP9000. Other than the Kumho MX, the absolutely best buy for an inexpensive performance tire.

However, I thought they were discontinued 3 or 4 years ago...

Yeah I think it was about 3+ years ago as well.

The tires on my jag are old but have low miles on them. They are cheap tires that the PO put on but they are starting to come apart on the inside. This may have only happened b/c the tires were mounted and not used much. I don't know.

I would send an e-mail to dunlop and ask them about when they were last made and if being stored for a long time before being used would hurt them.

Wish I could give you more info.

I have these tires on my Lotus. Please take into mind that I have not raced it and just got it about a month ago. I like the way they are in the wet and dry (but I don't have a lot of choice they are the only size available for my car)

    Thanks for the replys.

I have found several stores in the US that have them is stock, it seems odd that these tires would be just sitting on shelves for so long.

Dunlop still list it on their website. Maybe they never stopped making them.

I was under the impression they were discontinued.

Well you guys freaked me out!

I'm waiting for a call that should clear it up. If they have been sitting for more than a year, I won't buy them. I store my car so any tires I buy will have a full life even if it's based on age of rubber and not tread depth.

    Thanks for the responses.

I went thru a set on my 308. I didn't care much for them really.
