Bonus???? I get a Bone-us every year :(
Back in Enron's heyday the traders there were getting 100-125% bonuses. We all kicked and screamed, a couple of guys even left and accepted jobs there. I used to stand up at meetings and tell the bosses that Enron was kicking our butts becuase they were really motivating their people with those huge bonuses. I now try to line up 3 or 4 pitchers of water in front of me at every meeting hoping no one notices I'm there.
When I was in the car business I asked about an end of year bonus. The dealer said, "you want a bonus???? Go sell another car, that will be a bonus". Now, in the grocery business, if you meet all the criteria in all departments of the store and hit all the achievement levels, you might get 5% to 10% of your annual salary. Never more than that. Did I last year? Yes. How much....sorry, I will not disclose that.....but it is not out of the lowest level on your poll.
