I dislike the majority of Buicks. Personal taste...their driving dyanmics are not to my taste.

Haven't seen one personally however, the commercials look pretty good to me. At that price point, same as the Honda I just bought my dad.

I have no idea where in the Buick line the Lucerne is, but the Lincoln Zephyr looks like a really nice car too!

Cheap interior, cheap seats especially, bad value for the money. GM needs to do a lot better than this car if it plans on staying around for a while.

What will the depreciation curve look like?

Do you think they will eventually offer $3000 rebates thereby instantly dropping the value of all current owners cars by $3000?

What's with the name? Lucerne to me is either a hammer or a dairy product. With a Buick badge on it - mediocre cheese comes to mind before anything else.

Bad, just like every other GM car.

3k off? The car is overpriced to the tune of 10 large, dropping the sticker by 3 is a start.

The designer of the Tbird's exhaust is also on FC, that doesn't make it a good-sounding car.

Great designers can be strangled by bureaucracy.

Omar, the only point I was making is that hopefully he will chime in and say that maybe as a result of other factors he/design team had to alter or change to make the car economical. I wasn't trying to halt the discussion simply point out that there is a chance he will chime in.

Yea I got that, I just wanted to point out that you can have great designers but the 'higher ups' will kill even great designs. It is sad really, but the nature of the game.

Strangled, beaten with a tire iron, then bricked up behind a wall in the basement and forced to watch Roseanne Barr pornography on a black and white television.

Bureaucracy pinches out hallmark designs such as the Pontiac Aztec.

Actually, Lucerne (Luzern) is a beautiful city in central Switzerland. I lived there for what seemed like an eternity, at the Hotel des Balances and Hotel Palace. Worked down the road 40 miles in a wee little hamlet named Dagmersellen.

Call me crazy, but I like it.

However, you can also call me biased, since I'm a sales manager for a Buick-Pontiac-GMC store! :)

The Lucerne CXS is a nice car. Worth the money (imho).

    Thats what I was thinking!

Well its the best buick I've seen. I've known one person (female cousin) who owns one, she is in her twenties but acts like an old woman-car fits her perfectly. I hate buicks. And caddilacs. Don't much like linolns either. I love riding in these cars sortof-very comfy and big and have a smooth ride but other than that no fun in terms of driving or looking at or anything.
