Hello fellow Ferrari fanatics. I've been on here a year or so but never introduced myself. Current owner of a 1986 3.2 Mondial Cab and a 1995 355GTB.
I have come to a conclusion that the Mondial might just be the best Ferrari ever made but yet it gets little respect. Granted, it's not fast, little goofy looking, has back seats, but I can drive it everyday with no problems. If I have one it's usually simple and not expensive to fix, where as if my 355 burps it costs me $2k. I owned a 88 Mondial 3.2 and sold it to buy the 355 and soon realized I can afford to drive it but a couple of times a month so I went and bought another Mondial. Anyway, I'm in Indiana and it's snowing up to 4" today and depressed because I am done driving until the spring.

The Mondial is a classic and instantly recognizable as a Ferrari to the general public. I like it.

I know people think I am crazy, but I have driven countless different Ferrari models. There really isn't another Ferrari I rather own.

    It is my absolute favorite.

    Welcome back to the fold.

Here is my girl...right before her long winters nap :(

I've always liked the look - still think Ferrari design (yes, pinin.) peaked in the '80s. Don't get me wrong, I love the '85 308 GTS - but I don't see the issue people have with the Mondial.

Also - I like the over the top side air vents of the 3.2 vs the smaller, more subtle T's.

    sk8rpatty - very nice shot!

I've never thought that the Mondial was a poor design. Like all other models, it looks better in some colors than others.

Speaking of "burping," my '83 308 GTS burped recently and it set me back $1,700.00.

I love the Mondial; Saw a 3.2 that really stood out, was silver/blue. The guy absolutely adored it. Agree that they do look a lot better in person than in pictures, though.

My 3.2 Mondial Cab got more attention from other people than any Ferrari I've owned. It was a fun car-- it's unfortunate that mine was such a lousy example. Maybe some day I'll get a better one.

Thanks! We call it the Wine Country car for a reason! That was taken in the Napa Valley. We drove the car down from Vancouver BC to So Cal in 3 days, with this stop in Napa. That trip also included the Big Sur coast, too much fun! 70K miles and still running good....(said knocking on wood)
