    How can you tell if you have a 355 challenge steering rack? The number stamped on the outside housing does not show a different part number? Is it just the inside gearing that is changed and the outside is the same as stock

    Count the turns "lock to lock" and compare to a stock car??

    yeah, I thought of that and that might be the only way of telling because I think TRW used all the stock external parts and changed the gear inside so can't really tell from the oustside appearance. Ferrparts says the factory is very sloppy in their part numbers and sometimes they would have a seperate part number and sometimes not. Imagine that.

    Found out from the factory the 000176038 number on the Disigno Cliente tag on the rack means it is a Challenge part. All Challenge parts have a different designation.
