How come I have NEVER seen a video of an Alligator running full speed?

    We have all heard they can sprint in short bursts 25-30mph. But with all of the footage I have seen on TV and video over the years, I can't recall ever seeing what one of these bad boys looks like chasing something down at that speed.

    30mph is no joke!

    Am I alone here?

    An alligator chased after me for 2 miles at 15 MPH and then bit off my big toe.

    You must not watch The Croc Hunter much, do ya? I've seen a 5 footer charge out of the water and sprint 20-25 feet up the bank to catch a nutria while fishing awhile back. It was so quick, I remember saying to myself that if it was me standing there, he'd a caught me too!!

    Apparantly, if you ever find yourself being chased by an alligator,(who hasnt?) run in a zig-zag line, they can't keep up.

    Some things are ther but you just never see them.

    For example, ever seen a baby pigeon? Next time your where a bunch of pigeons are try to spot one. Where the #$&@ are all the baby pigeons??

    I've seen one of those. I saw a baby Sparrow the other day, but no pigeons.
