This gated 360 has been on eBay for quite a while, and the price for what it appears to be is low. My guess is that the problem is that it's a grey-market conversion? Pros/Cons?

Seems like a nice car. Amerispec did alot of the conversions.

Looks like it may... may.. need some brake discs and pads. the red interior doesn't help it. Suggests an owner had his or her way with it. The amp in the front trunk helps this assertion. In the back rear left by th emuffler is some electrical doohicky. Pro a jury rigged emissions rig. The silicone catalyst sticker doesn't help.

for a 99 euro its about 5k too high IMHO. You'll never know until you get a PPI.

I LOVE my euro. No issues with CELs, better sound. No precats to fragment.. The way it was meant to be.

Interesting that it is priced to move IMO. Wasn't this car one an F-Chatters car? I remember him getting some flak for trying to sell it without changing the red painted stuff back to stock and IIRC he got defensive about the color choice. There couldn't be two Ferrari enthusiasts who wanted to turn their car into a porsche from the inside out now could there? lol

Good news is that the conversion company is still in business so hopefully all that can be verified to clear up any issues if there are concerns. I hope they have a better way to label their work these days though!

I like the red highlights in the interior. Adds some flair.

From my experience JK is a good company and willing to help. Their sticker is metal. It looks like it peeled at the edges and someone put that goo all over. I can tell you that JK didn't do that.

Since JK did it, it is a 49 state car. Good work just not tested for CA so not legal here. That has an impact on the resale opportunities.

I agree that the red interior parts probably hurt this car a fair amount. Not that any of it is hard to change back but it reduces the buyer pool further. I would say that they could get away with the center console and the doors but the dash really pops too hard in my opinion.

None of the above says that it isn't a good car. If you like it get the PPI and make a move.

The red interior is probably why this car is sitting.. It looks terrible. Look inside the flap where the fuel door release.. Painted like sh*t.. I love my Euro.. and would prefer to have on as long as all the documents are in order.. I even have the receipt from the airliner that brought it over.. Interesting part is that its show 14,000 on the odometer.. Its in kilometers.. so this car is a sub 10K mile car.. Only way to know for sure is to have someone tail you during a test drive using a tripodometer. Radio ok... loos nice.. but the red.. holy moly.. its gross.. Sorry if its an fchat members car but come on.. Who wakes up in the morning thinking about painting the interior console, trim, and lower door panels in base coat clear coat red.. Its not a Porsche.. Passenger air bag area appears to be out of shape as well. Could be air bag or dash shrinkage around the air bag.. Should have painted that red as well.. WTF.. Some people just have taste up their a**.. JMO

Don't sugar coat it; tell us what you really think.

I agree with you. I don't know what the reserve is (not met at this point), but at the ~$70K mark where the buy-it-now is set, you can probably find a number of 360 coupes where you won't have to replace funky looking, poorly painted interior panels and/or worry about the headaches that accompany low-mileage (15k km ~ 9,300 miles) cars that sit unused for most of their lives.

Changing the red to black isn't that big of a job and the rest of the car looks pretty decent, however, I agree, I think it's at least 5K too high.

It has a Capristo on it already, that's a bonus.

My biggest concern is a lack of California approval. Much of a Ferraris resale market is in Ca and without an emissions sticker for here, you can't smog it or register it here. You can go through the process, you have to have a laboratory do testing on it and to my knowledge there is only one in So Cal somewhere. Then you have to go through the state referee to get an emission sticker, then you have to smog it, all in I understand it to be at least $10K. This is a lot to do when you can just buy a US spec car that's good to go. Now of course if you don't live in Cali, you may say who cares? You should, Cali dictates the market on the West Coast.

It isn't 10K, more like 2-3K but it is a bit of a hassle. After the referee you don't need to smog again until the regular smog cycle. I did a detailed write-up on the process but it has been many years since I posted it. If you want to know the process, search my threads for legalizing a euro in CA or something like that.
