4112 1212 4114 4121 Can I still drive the car until I get a chance to have them checked out?? Thanks!!
Those codes are related, and the 4121 is serious. An overheated catalytic converter can (and has on many Ferraris) burn your car to the ground. 1212 is telling you that your computer needs to make larger adjustments to your air/fuel mixture than would seem practical. 4112 and 4114 are telling you that you have a phase sensor problem (the phase sensor is how the computer double-checks that a piston is at TopDeadCenter (TDC) for accurate firing of each spark plug. Well, if your spark plugs are firing at the wrong time, then your emissions are going to be whacked and your computers are going to be making wild adjustments to the fuel/air mixture... In the meantime, the 4121 code is telling you that you can't depend on the exhaust ECU for that side of your engine to detect an overheated cat (which becomes more likely because of the wild fuel/air adjustments). Anyway, clean your contacts for the phase sensor cable connection. Then swap your exhaust ecus, one on the left side of your engine with the one on the right side. What you are looking for is to see if your 4121 code switches sides the next time that you run your motor. If the code swaps sides with the exhaust ecu, then it's time to replace that component. Reset your engine ECU's and drive to see if the problems return after doing the above, but keep close watch on your cats for any overheating since you may not have watchdogs functioning properly for such an event (a $20 infrared laser thermometer should quickly tell you if you have an overheated cat after a run). http://www.club348.com/technical/Tech/348.html#ECUcodes
