How did you first found or learn about Ferrarichat

I frequented the Aston Martin Owners' Club board, and someone there mentioned the 'white Ferraris' thread on Ferrarichat.

It was wonderful, because I'd visited a few Ferrari/FCA sites and was disappointed at not being able to find a good chat site.......until I came here!!

A fellow F-Chatter referred me when I expressed a desire to by an F-Car a couple years ago.

 

It's been so long I can't remember. Probably through a search though.

Yep, Google for me too. I was bored at work, read a lot of stuff on the viper board and thought "hmm...wonder if there is a Ferrari board too..." I googled "ferrari + chat" and wouldn't you know...

 

I read Tom Yang's forum, and someone had a vintage engine stolen. They crossposted the alert on FerrariChat and posted a link. I clicked it... Game Over!

 

I found out from a mention in Forza.

It was a dark, stormy night. It was raining so hard the rain drops were bouncing twice when they hit the pavement. The rivers were rising and the lights were starting to flicker when I saw the shadow lurking in the corner of the alley.

He was wearing a trenchcoat and a drooping fedora, the rain pouring off the brim and cascading across his shoulders. Taken aback by this menacing figure I reached inside my jacket for my Smith and Wesson .44 Magnum, the most powerful hand gun in the world, so powerful it would blow your head clean off.......................wait a minute, wrong story.

As I stood there contemplating what to do this dark figure reached out with a skeletal, gnarled hand and beckoned me closer. Shaking with trepidation I took a step closer and the dark figure reached out again beckoning me. Before going any further I yelled at the guy, "Who the Hell are you and what do you want?!". The dark figure said, "Come closer, I have something for you".

"My ass!, Not until you tell who you are and what you want!"

He said, "Come here my son and reap this gift of enlightenment" "I am Carbon McCoy, bastard son of Darth McCoy,(minion of the dark side) purveyer of all things Ferrari."

As I sidled closer I noticed a small piece of paper clutched in his hand. I asked, "What is this enlightment you speak of?" Carbon replies, "Take this address and seek Ferrarichat and you too can experience the Scuderia Force".

I snatched the piece of paper and waded through the river that was coursing down main street. When I got home I fired up the generator, burned a pizza and went to the computer to see what this Scuderia Force was about.

Little did I know that the first two years of FREE access to the site Ferrarichat was just a "hook" for the subscription I would later be charged. I should have known but it was too late, I WAS HOOKED!! No way I could get away now. It was a trap.

Within months I owned a 308 and lavished attention and time on it like the addict I was. Now I'm selling it because it just isn't enough and I need something bigger and more powerful. HOOKED I AM, THERE IS NO HOPE AS I FALL DEEPER INTO THIS MORASS.

All because of that shady character, Carbon McCoy, bastard son of Darth McCoy,(minion of the dark side).

So I guess thats it. The story of my downfall and addiction. I've given up everything and everybody body to pursue this blight.

I moved to a new house a few months back and spotted a 355 spider in someone's driveway. After inquiring about the car, he directed me here, and for some reason I can't seem to get anymore sleep.

 

i really can't remember, and it hasn't been 2 years! i think it had something to do with another f-car board, internet searching and a once-in-a-lifetime aligment of the sun, moon and earth....

searched google for pictures of a Carrera GT with the wing up, came up with a Crystal Cove thread! I would have just passed on like I have many other forums, but thank goodness Rob requires you to register to view attachments

i had used the sight for 3 years and finally joined this year, i think i did a google for ferrari and the site came up

 

Fchat member Schatten & his site, buymeaferrari.com. Also saw Rob’s 328 at the FCA national meet at MSR back in June 2001. Here’s a pic of Rob caught in a background shot. I didn’t remember the site address at the time otherwise I'd would have joined sooner.
