I have all the time have a strange sound in my engine. I think it have to be the dry sump pump making this when it start to suck air. Can anyone confirm that this pumps make a strange sound? Maybe someone have a sound clip?
Its not the Ferrari, but on the race car we always spin the external oil pump (5 stage) at the start of every race day with an external device. Not only does this prime the motor but we have proofing sensors on the pressure side that interlock the electric fuel pumps and the ignition. Once the fuel pumps come on we run the system for another 30 seconds. So with just the pump spinning, it sounds like a kid slurping soup or like a straw at the bottom of a milkshake....
