Help!!!! I need to charter a jet that will carry 100 to 150 people to and from Maui. I went on the internet and tried to get some prices but all I get is Bull **** run around and a feeling that the guy on the other end is licking his chops cause he thinks hes got a sucker on the hook. Is there a good, better, best way to do this? How do I size the plane? Is there an airport that is the better one to use for some reason? What should I be looking for or at when I do get a quote. Give me a hand here guys, please? We plan to be on Maui 5 to 7 days.
I have flown on both World and North American a few times and they have been pretty good in my opinion. I'm not too familiar with the process but my understanding is the the folks who book the flight put out a window of days for the flights and put it out there for bids from the various airlines. http://www.worldairways.com/ http://www.flynaa.com/
You want a narrow body jet (737 class, -700/800 or an A320). There are lots of charter companies out there, but for the passenger count you need a commercial jet and not a private jet. Delta and any airline for that matter does charters. Here's Delta's charter info FYI: http://www.delta.com/business_programs_services/charter_flights/index.jsp http://www.deltaprivatejets.com/FleetCharterAircraft.aspx Just do a google search of (airline) + charter and you'll get the direct links. You can also try Sands Aviation Phone574) 875-3989 who has a variety of commercial airliners they may charter out. World Airways is a charter, but they operate MD-11 which would be too big and expensive for your needs.
Where did you go to college at? If you happen to be familiar with your college's athletic department (or even if you are not), you could call and ask who they use to charter large jets. College football teams fly all over the country each fall on chartered jets, and the size of the groups is in the 100-150 range you cited. Going to Hawaii may be a different deal though, when many (or maybe all?) teams fly to play the University of Hawaii they will usually charter to LA and then fly commercial from LA to Hawaii. You could also try calling the University of Hawaii and asking who they use. I figure these schools probably price-shop these services pretty aggressively, so they may have already done a lot of the legwork involved in finding the best deals and companies.
just tell ''obama' your all going to make campign contributions and he'll probuly fly you there for free
They fly a 737 RT to Hawaii once a week with about 100 seats; I would suspect they would be happy to quote a charter.
