    I'm getting a distinct "clunk" in the rear suspension when I go over bumps. What can I do with a floor jack and handtools to locate the source?

    Hmmm.must be the bushings.....then it might also be be the CV joint. But you can inspect the bushings with the jack easily as you know. Not sure what you can do to check the CV other than a test drive and listen. Oh, check the engine mounts too by trying to jack the engine up a bit.
