How do I get my 348 to sound like this:...

    I saw this vid on youtube and have to admit, I'm a tiny bit Jealous. I tried an early 355 berlinetta, before settling on a 348 spyder (couldn't quite stretch to a 355 spyder and the Berli' wasn't as intoxicating), anyway, the vid is a 355 "spyder" (&*@), with a capristo fitted (My local garage tells me it's a stage III). Obviously the first thing I did was order 'said exhaust system'. Got the invoice today but have been advised that it might not be what I need to get that high pitched F1 sound that I'm looking for, out of my 348.

    So, is there a better way to do it. What exhaust/muffler/bypass combinations have you used to get the Ferrari Squeal out of your back box (I was going to edit that last bit but thought it carried good comedy value...Maybe I've absorbed too much Benny Hill)

    That is a rightfully famous clip. The 355 sound is as it is partly because of the Y-pipe. You don't have the Y-pipe.

    I will say that Daniel's 348 with X-ost and hyperflows sounds really, really, really good. If I had a 348, that is the way I would go. In the meantime, anyone have a used Capristo they want to sell me or trade for my Tubi?

    Go listen to some Kreis-sieg videos......close as you're going to get.....and the onl exhaust I'd buy for a 348.

    This video sound is much different than your first post of that awesome 355. But if you like it ........ the title of this vid you posted says what you need to buy ...... :eek:

    Of course it is a bit too loud for regular use but what a sound!

    The gothspeed exhaust seems like a civilized version of it and sounds great too. :)

    Thanks Sam :)! .......... You are correct in that mine is on the quieter side :eek: ........ when I was designing the silencing aspect of the exhaust ..... I over shot because there are some that are too loud....... that being said, it can be made a tad bit louder on request ....... either one flows exactly the same though :).

    Fabspeed has both Sport Cats and Catbypass pipes to help in the search of that infamous sound :)

    Capristo 3 no valve and no cats on a 348 is insanely loud and beautiful!!!!!!
