Hi. I'm interested in a car in the UK. How do i get the cars history via Chassis-number or is it VIN-number? Is there a good website for this or can you go to any Ferraridealer?

I'm guessing you're looking at older LHD cars (eg 355) so it probably will not be in the UK importer system - apart from looking at the paper service records and manual there's not really a lot you can do - having said that you can do the HPI check online which should tell you if it ever was an insurance write off during its UK life : www.hpicheck.co.uk - there are also cheaper equivalents through the RAC or www.mycarcheck.com - you should be able to do this just with the registration number

You can also call the dealer and check if they did service the car. under data protection laws some dealers will not give you information. you just have to pretend that you just bought the car and are just trying to trace back the service history because the service book has been misplaced and that you were told that it had been serviced at their premises by the garage you bought it from :D it has always worked for me in the past with bmw and mercedes dealers. i'm not sure how strict ferrari dealers are with divulging info. but your best bet is do an hpi check on the current registration number and any old ones the car might have had. good luck.

Not sure what info you want.
you can get all the info on the previous owners from the DVLA but it's slow, the cost is £5,

Ferrari Uk sold all their records to a guy called Tony Willis, i think, but i am not sure how far his records go to [ he had all the records for my 73 car] ,he has things like, first sales invoice, spec, service history inc. any damage repaired by Ferrari etc. He charges by a persentage of the value of the car. I can dig out his contact info. if you need it.

If you can tell me (via PM or whatever) the chassis number I can check in the UK Owners' Club database and tell you if they have anything about it.
