I know the clutch thing has been beaten to death and I apologize in advance. Having zero mechanical ability, how much is too much for an F1 clutch replacement? To my knowledge, this will be the first for this car.

Dealer says 76% wear or 4.2mm. I would be grateful for any guidance.

Based on your location there are few Indies that may perform the clutch a little less expensive than a dealer .. try that route

Make sure you read some of the threads and see what other components should be changed while you are there .. like throw-out bearings ..etc

Pain is part of the deal, just looking to avoid any more bloodshed than is reasonably required.

Who are the best indies in NJ, PA?

I have a post on here somewhere about this based on my own experience.

F1 clutch replacement is between $5K (Independent mechanic with Leonardo) to $9K from expensive dealer.
It also depends on what other parts that needs to be replaced while they are "in there".

I paid ~$9K to a dealer not including Ferrari Club discount and I posted the receipt here somewhere.

I recommend the usual - do it right the 1st time from a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic / dealer.

"what" gets done in a "clutch replacement" will vary the cost more than the labor rate of Indy vs. Dealer.

Mine was at the very high end because they put a new fly wheel and all the usual parts and clutch position sensor (not sure if that is always done or not).

Mine was $9k (and iirc that was after a 10% discount on parts and labor, but incl sales tax)

Get a quote before the work is needed for a clutch job with and without a fly wheel from both an Indy and your local dealer.
